About Us

On March 24, 1985, an unprecedented journey into the hearts of millions of viewers began with 30 momentous minutes. Doordarshan Kendra Guwahati was born. The Kendra spent its initial years in a rented house in the bustling locality of Pan Bazar in Guwahati. Time flew and on 7 February, 1992 the Kendra moved to its present commodious surroundings at the R G Barua Road.
