T. Chowdiah Carnatic Violin Tirumakudalu Chowdiah was a violin maestro from Carnatic Classical tradition. Born on 1st January, 1894 in ThirumakoodluNarasipura in Mysore, Chowdiah had his preliminary training in music under his mother Sundaramma and a relative, Pakkanna. At the age of 16, he shifted to Mysore, where he came under the tutelage of BidaramKrishnappa for 18 years from 1910 to 1928.This collection brings to focus Chowdiahs versatility and the unique character of the seven-stringed violin.
